Sand Ridge Elementary

Sand Ridge Elementary School is committed to ensuring that our students are prepared to meet the challenges and ever-changing demands of the world in which we live. As a “Global Partner School”, we seek to make connections to the world and  to our community through global and local partnerships. Sand Ridge Elementary School continues to be a very transient school, with approximately 50% of our students tied directly to the military community. This brings us students and families with unique world views. Teachers and staff at Sand Ridge Elementary embrace that uniqueness as they help students transition to their new school community. Our community of learners strives to meet the standards set by state and local governing bodies by designing globally relevant lessons with real-world connections and applications that allow students to think critically and develop strong problem-solving skills. To that end, we are focused on the following goals at Sand Ridge Elementary.

- Promoting the use of AVID strategies and the MindUP program to provide for rigorous instruction and self regulation techniques at all grade levels.
- Providing additional opportunities to integrate globally relevant instruction into all content areas through rigorous staff development.
- Fostering innovative and effective communication strategies between the school, families and the community.
- Supporting utilization and acquisition of instructional technologies that enhance teaching and learning.

The experiences our students have at Sand Ridge Elementary set a foundation that will support them throughout their careers. Staff and teachers work to instill a strong educational experience and a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
