Girls on The Run

Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls in grades 3 through 8. The program aims to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which integrates running.

Here are some key features of Girls on the Run:

  • Empowerment: The program focuses on empowering girls to make positive choices and develop self-confidence, self-awareness, and healthy relationships.

  • Curriculum: It consists of a 10-12 week curriculum that includes lessons on topics such as teamwork, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and community service, alongside training for a 5K run.

  • Physical Activity: Girls participate in physical training, which encourages an active lifestyle and helps improve physical fitness.

  • Community: The program fosters a sense of community among participants, encouraging teamwork and support among peers.

  • End-of-Season 5K: The program culminates in a celebratory 5K event, giving participants a tangible goal to work towards and a sense of accomplishment.
